Enable Check Boxes In Windows7 To Select Multiple Files Easily

Normally, we use Ctrl or Shift to select multiple files or folders in Windows 7 or Vista. Holding down the Ctrl key allows you to select multiple single items and holding down Shift lets you select a series of multiple files or folders.

Steps to be followed:

Step 1: Go to your Start Menu and type Folder Options in the search bar and press enter. Alternatively you can go to Start Menu > Control Panel > Folder Options.

Step 2: Now click View button and scroll down to see “Use check boxes to select items”, just enable it by marking the check box and click OK.

You’ll notice a small check box shows up on next to the item you want to select.

That’s it, now you can select multiple files without holding Ctrl or Shift keys.

If you are a vista user then you can also do it by the same procedure.
